Agile for Access to Justice: Linking Help to Ukraine

April 22nd @2 - 2:25pm

The talk will focus on the UA.SUPPORT project, a platform aimed at coordinating legal aid to Ukraine with the help of volunteers in 30 countries. We will speak of how we built the project and the corresponding NGO Linking Help to operate it. We will share how the team utilized different Kanban boards and transparency techniques to efficiently manage the high-volume of tasks. We will share how we used Lean Startup methodology that might be an interesting case study for the Agile community. The talk will highlight the challenges and successes, and how the project has made a difference in providing legal aid to those who need it in Ukraine and how it aims at providing it to other people in need, e.g. in Turkey and Syria destroyed by Earthquake. Overall, the talk will showcase how the principles of Agile can be applied in non-profit projects to achieve impactful results.
