Are We Building the Right Things? Bridging Product Polarities in a Climate-Conscious World

9th July @ 9 - 9:40am EST / 3 - 3:40pm CEST

Most product teams have become very good at building fast. The tougher question is whether we should be building at all, and whose definition of value are we optimizing?

This session explores the polarity between speed and sustainability, profit and impact, through two very different product worlds: a globally scaling commercial technology business and a social impact organization helping charities adopt digital tools with near-zero budgets and resources.

Rather than looking at these challenges as problems to solve, we'll explore them as polarities to navigate and bridge. Using polarity mapping as a practical tool, the session will show how business leaders can make more conscious product decisions while considering ecological and social dimensions alongside customer and business value.

If you've ever felt the polarity between what you're building and what you think should be built, then this session is for you.

About the Speaker

25 years of global experience in digital transformation and product innovation. Currently working as a Product & Tech Innovation Coach at a fast-scaling global fitness technology company, while also volunteering on weekends as an AI Product Innovation Consultant supporting charities to adopt digital and AI tools despite limited funding and resources.

Working across these two contrasting worlds has created a deep interest in how organizations define product success, customer value, and ROI under very different constraints. This experience has developed a strong interest in helping business leaders shift from an output mindset to a more conscious thinking by asking questions about the impact of the products they build while managing competing priorities.
